Acorn Hill Farm is a little goat farm in the Mid-Hudson Valley/Catskill region of New York. We produce a variety of fresh and aged cheeses, yogurt, and fudge using only milk produced by our herd of dairy goats. Our herd is managed without the use of chemicals, antibiotics, or hormones and they have access to browse as weather and climate conditions allow. All of our cheeses are made using vegetarian rennet and when herbs are added they are grown on the farm without the use of chemical fertilizers, pesticides, or other artificial agents or are certified organic. Our goal is to offer the freshest possible product and plan our production around anticipated demand so our chevre and ricotta reach you within only a few days of when they are made. Raw milk cheeses are aged for a minimum of 60 days as required by law but in most cases are aged longer for development of more complex flavors.
Acorn Hill Farm has received the Slow Food NYC Snail of Approval. We firmly believe that farming with respect for the animals and care in small batch production can feed the community.
